You may have read my post a few weeks ago about the new American Girl Doll of the Year, Kanani. We were so excited to receive Kanani a week or so ago.

She is just beautiful. My daughter immediately noticed that she comes with her own Kukui Nut lei which is really cool because we have several of those lei’s that we brought back from Hawaii during our visit.

“Kanani™ arrives in a breezy outfit that’s perfect for island life:
*An ocean blue, floral-print dress with a sequined appliqué and a ruffled hem
*A faux hibiscus flower to wear in her long, loose curls
*A traditional Hawaiian necklace made of pretend kukui nuts
*Bright blue ruffled sandals
*Cotton underwear

The Kanani doll is 18 inches tall with a soft cloth body. She has hazel eyes and long, loose curls, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl. The Aloha, Kanani book is the first story about this cheerful girl who helps others by sharing the aloha spirit of Hawai’i.”

She really is a beautiful doll and she is only around for one year. Now one lucky reader has the chance to win a Kanani doll.

    If I won the Kanani doll, I would give it to my granddaughter, Katherine, for her 9th birthday, in April. I can’t comment on Hawaii, because it’s one of the places I have never been!

    I would give the Kanani doll to my 10 year old daughter because she adores the American Girl dolls, she takes good care of her other dolls (she does not have an American Girl doll right now), and her hair is almost as long as Kanani’s!

    Ooh, what a pretty doll! I would definitely give this doll to my daughter for her upcoming birthday. Hawaii is my favorite place on earth – I love everything about it! The climate, the sand, Volcanoes National Park, Haleakala in Maui, snorkeling… ALL of it! :)

    I would give the American Girl Doll Kanani to my niece Rebecca ! She LOVES american girl dolls and only has one ! She does EVERYTHING with her american girl doll ( Bethany ), she does her hair, plays dress up, watches movies, eats, sleeps, etc., so literally Everything ! If i were to win this doll, my niece would probably FREAK and i would be SUPER happy because I was able to get this for her, if i don’t that’s ok, but i will just make sure that my Niece gets her doll that she wants so much soon !

    I have never been to Hawaii, but i would LOVE to go ! I love the beaches, the weather and the wonderful fact that’s it’s an island ! I’ve never been to an island in my life and i think it would be wonderful to go to any luxurious, inviting land surrounded completely by a body of water !
