He came into our house just a few short weeks ago. Majestic is a Red-Eared Slider. My son is already in love.

Did you know turtles can live 40-50 years? Yeah I didn’t either.

I told my son that it was very likely that his grandchildren would be enjoying this turtle as well.

It has been a few weeks since I have participated in Wordless Wednesday but it has been a seriously crazy few weeks for me.

A few weeks ago, I did something a little different. I am so used to being behind the camera but for  a few days I stepped out in front of the camera and starred in a Windows Phone 7 webisode/commercial.

Totally out of my comfort zone but seriously a lot of fun. I had the pleasure of working with a great group of people who made the 12 or so hours we spent shooting really fun.

I wanted to show you what my view was from in front of the camera as I grabbed the phone and took some shots of them taking video of me. This is what it looks like from the other side!

Sorry about the lighting or zombie effect in a few pictures. There were lights all over the place so it was hard to get a clear shot at times.

Much needed refreshment!

Of course all of these pictures were taken with my new Windows Phone 7 Nokia Lumia 900. If you haven’t checked out this phone yet, you should. It is really a beautiful picture and a great phone overall. CNET thinks so, too giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

We love spending time in pet shops. We don’t buy anything but we love seeing what animals they have.

This is a local, small pet store that supports the community and offers AKC puppies (no puppy mills here). The employees are fabulous and all clearly pet lovers.

This place is awesome!!

They have private pet cubicles where you can play with a puppy.

Pretty sure I am going to have a not so great dream about this guy tonight.

I have had this Groupon for pony rides for the kids for almost a year. They have been dying to take lessons so I thought a pony ride would be a good place to start. I really had no idea how much they would love it.

Before they ride, they have to brush their pony.

She was not at all too sure at first. In fact, she was downright terrified. We thought that she would get right off. But the amazing trainers worked with her.

My middle child was next. She is the one who has been begging for lessons.

Next, they brought out the big guy:

She was not too sure about the bigger horse:

My youngest was thrilled to get on the bigger horse. She looks so little.

Of course you have to tip your pony! Good thing we brought carrots:

This girl (named Tootsie Roll) just wanted to nuzzle the kids.

It was a good day!

I highly recommend taking lessons from Trip at Fruition Farm here in Atlanta (or Palmetto and Smyrna to be exact). Give them a call but make certain that you get Trip. He gives lessons and really was just born to work with horses and kids. 404-512-0834

My son was very excited about getting this free ride. He asked for pen and paper. He wrote everything down so I would have the information I needed to call and get him his free ride in a police car.

I laughed until I cried when I saw the sign for myself:

Seriously…this place exists. We were just driving around in the North Georgia mountains while on a short vacation and stumbled across this place.

There were goats. On the roof. Totally bizarre yet kind of interesting.

They managed to design a way (several ways actually) for customers to pay to feed the goats. Genius.

You put a quarter in the machine to get some feed. You put the feed in the cup. Then you peddle the bike:

You peddle the cup up to the roof where the feed is dumped out for these guys:

They also have gem mining available which my kids were begging to take part in:

You can even buy some stuff every country family needs:

This is a photo from our recent cruise that I just love. We spent the day on St. Maarten and this was one of the beaches that we stopped at. I just love the look on my kids face. Now that is joy!

This year my husband was in charge of the face painting. I handled the hair glitter for the girls.

I gave him the package which had a picture on it. The picture was similar to this:

But then my husband went a different route. Really I am not sure what route he went. Scary, maybe?

Something happened once I handed the facepainting supplies and pictures over to my husband. Below is the end result.

My kid looks like he could be the son of the Joker. Doesn’t he? I find this picture a little scary.

By the way, my son absolutely loved it!
