What is Medifast?

Medifast_BecomeYourself

I have started this new journey. My regular readers know that I have struggled with weight loss issues for years.

It wasn’t always this way. Up through most of college, I was athletic and fit. I didn’t have any problems with weight. Fast forward a few years to college graduation, full time office job, marriage, kids and more sedentary lifestyle. I was no longer athletic and fit.

I recently formed this partnership with Medifast. For the next year, I will embark on this new weight loss journey.

I say new because I have high hopes. I have very high expectations of Medifast. And now that I have put this out there, you should know that I have very high expectations of myself. I really want to do this and I am very motivated.

In the first two week on the program, I have lost almost ten pounds. This feels doable.

There are other bloggers on this program. Next week, I will share some of their blogs and most recent posts with you. They definitely make this feel doable. They are motivated and successful. And I think that you will feel the same way.

Whether you are thinking about starting your own weight loss journey (good news, see promo code below) or interested in following along with my weight loss journey, check out Medifast.

  1. My wife rocks and is doing very well on Medifast so far.

    • Thanks! <3

      • Hi Stacie,

Medifast, Inc. is an American nutrition and weight loss company based in Owings Mills, Maryland. Medifast produces, distributes, and sells weight management and disease management products, including the Medifast weight-loss program.

I’m a health coach for Take Shape for Life (TSFL), which is a health & weight management program and a subsidiary of Medifast, Inc. TSFL is fueled by Medifast Meals. What’s special about the TSFL program is that you can work with a coach — coaching is free — who supports you throughout your weight loss journey. No matter where they reside, coaches, including me, can coach others anywhere in the United States.

The TSFL program is used by the Johns Hopkins Obesity Clinic (JHOC); In fact, JHOC prefers the TSFL program over the American Diabetes Association’s program for Type 1 & 2 diabetes. On this program, you lose 2-5 lbs for the first 2 weeks and 1-2 lbs per week thereafter. Please check my web site (www.leena.tsfl.com) and message me on Facebook or e-mail me and I’ll be happy to answer any further questions.

        Thank you,
        Leena

  8. Elaine L {But Why Mommy} says:

This looks very interesting. I will be watching closely because I would love to try it but I want to know that it works first. Thanks for sharing it with me.

  9. Do a lot of men try Medifast? I might check it out.

  10. Woohoo!! 10lbs is an amazing start!!! So excited to be sharing this journey with you.

  11. Hi there,
I started a couple of days before you and would love to follow your blog on this journey. I have to just say I LOVE THIS PROGRAM! The supplement variety is wonderful and once you learn the condiments/fat part of it the options are limitless. There are days I feel like how in the world and I losing this weight and eating better than before I started. So far I have lost 14 lbs but im losing slower they say because I’m on the lower end of weight at around 200lbs. But I dont care. I have never felt so healthy in my life. And this is the longest I have ever maintained a diet. I am one of those unfortunate people who had the gastric bypass and gained the weight back. Maybe this is why I’m so content with the portions, being that I have a much smaller stomach than most of you, I dont know. Well anyway, I’m excited to follow you!

  12. That’sawesome progress, I need something to kick me into high gear. With the Medifast products…how many calories would you say you are taking in daily?
