Lodging takes different forms from waterside cottages to executive villas, and of course the main Lodge with over 200 guest rooms plus 6 large suites. The natural scenic wild beauty is the draw here, with the lake as the centerpiece. Campsites are provided for both RV’s and setting up tent sites. Find a nearby boat ramp, campers store and pier to fish off to enjoy a great vacation.
For business group get-togethers or conferences the Lake Lanier Conference Center is an IACC-certified meeting facility. A quick 45 minutes northeast of Atlanta, this is a well supplied venue for corporate functions, and the large conference building adjoins the main guest lodge.
There’s no shortage of eating choices at this resort, from dining casually to elegantly in the lodge, to motor/sail/row up in your boat and park at the pier for grilled foods, the food is eclectic and for all tastes and circumstances. If you’re in a rush, there’s even a coffee/pastry and sandwich shop with books and Internet to glance at or take your food and go.
Catering to special diets is easy with low salt, no sugar, gluten-free, heart-healthy, vegan and organic choices at the BullFrogs Bar and Grill. Dine inside where there’s a full bar, Wii play station and piano or outside by the heated pool where there’s ping-pong, pool, board games, air hockey, a fire pit and more.
Every November 16th through December 31st you’ll find Lake Lanier Islands of Adventure Resort lighting up with what they proclaim is “the Worlds’ Largest Display of Animated lights.”
