How to Grill the Perfect Steak

Steak on the Grill

 INGREDIENTS

1 inch to 1 ½ inch steaks
Unseasoned Meat Tenderizer
Melted Butter
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Glass Casserole Dish
Plastic Wrap

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERADIRECTIONS

1.  Place steaks in Glass Casserole Dish and sprinkle both sides liberally with Unseasoned Meat Tenderizer.

2.  Brush on Melted Butter and Salt and Pepper

3.  Cover with Plastic Wrap and bring steaks to room temperature.

**Tip – Never grill a steak directly from the refrigerator

Steak with Spices & Herbs4.  Heat grill to high

5.  Once steaks have reached room temperature, place on grill and close the cover.

6.  Open grill only ONCE to flip steaks according to the temperature guide below:

Steak

RARE STEAKS

Grill 3-4 minutes per side, to an internal temperature of 120 to 130 degrees

MEDIUM RARE STEAKS

Grill 4 to 5 minutes per side, to an internal temperature of 130 to 135 degrees

MEDIUM STEAKS

Grill 5 to 7 minutes per side, to an internal temperature of 135 to 140 degrees

MEDIUM WELL STEAKS

Grill 7 to 9 minutes per side, to an internal temperature of 140 to 150 degrees

WELL DONE STEAKS

Grill on MEDIUM heat for 9 to 11 minutes per side, to an internal temperature of 150 to 170 degrees

  4. I don’t touch steak in my house, my husband ALWAYS does the steaks. I’m a chicken and soup kinda cook LOL.
