This past weekend, we set off on a road trip. The road trip was to promote the new movie that opened last Friday, Due Date starring Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis. (If you haven’t seen the movie, you have to see it!)
We traveled from Atlanta, GA to Savannah, GA where we spent the night. We then headed to Jacksonville, FL the next day where we spent the night. From Jacksonville, FL, we went to Lake City, FL, Valdosta, GA, Macon, GA and then headed back to Atlanta stopping at Murphy USA gas stations along the way.
Although the locations varied (see the complete list below), our goal for each location was the same. We gave out coupons for free waffles at Waffle House and movie passes to some very lucky customers plus employees.
And people were thrilled! Who doesn’t love a free waffle and a great movie?
We also Tweeted along the way and met up with some Twitter followers or bloggers who were near our locations. I checked in on Foursquare at almost every Murphy USA gas station location and you can check out my trip progression on my Facebook page.
