Allowance Manager Review

A few weeks ago we started using a new website to track the allowance that we give to my son each week.

Allowance Manager is a pretty cool concept that is easy to use and helps my son keep track of exactly how much money he has. My son can go in and put exactly how much money he receives each month.

“Should I give my kids an allowance” is a question most parents ask themselves when their child reaches a certain age. If a child’s allowance is important to a parent, other questions then arise. For example, “should my child’s allowance be tied to chores, grades, and behavior?” The answer, is that an allowance should be allocated with any combination of requirements that you choose to be best for your family. Whatever allowance requirements you have chosen, Allowance Manager has the solution to help you implement and stick to them.

Allowance Manager has created a child’s allowance management system that is easy for any parent to use, and more importantly, a system that accommodates all parenting styles and allowance strategies that each individual parent has determined best for his or her family.

The only requirement to determine whether Allowance Manager is right for you, is that you have said to yourself “yes, I want to give my kids an allowance!”

They even offer some tools for parents to use as well. For instance, you can print out a free Chore Chart which can definitely come in handy:

Reasons to use Allowance Manager:

  • Reward good behavior
  • Record extra income
  • Record monetary gifts
  • Discourage misbehavior
  • Record investments
  • Record donations
  • Record purchases

My son is loving the site and we like it too. It is fun to see his balance grow and to see him saving his money. Check it out!

This is a very good idea! My daughters allowance was tied to chores… she did have a choice to do them , and if she did she was rewarded. If she wanted extra money especially as she got older, she would ask if there was more she could do.
I do have to say though, I see some parent over rewarding kids with money and with ‘things’ until kids were actually overwhelmed and thought they were entitled. I hope I never did that- she had what she needed and earned the things she wanted. Today at almost 30, she manages money well!
